Welcome to List in Hive (List in Hive, we, our, or us). These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your access to and use of our website, platform, mobile experiences, and any related services (collectively, the Service).
By creating an account, submitting a listing, purchasing a subscription, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use List in Hive.
1. About List in Hive
List in Hive is an online classifieds and business discovery platform that allows users to post, browse, and promote listings across categories such as:
- Real Estate
- Vehicles
- Services
- Local businesses
- Jobs
- Business for sale
- Other offerings
List in Hive is not a party to transactions between users. We do not verify, guarantee, or endorse any listing or user.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Will use the Service in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws
3. User Accounts
To post listings or use certain features, you must create an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Not create an account on behalf of another person without authorization
- Not impersonate any individual or business
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content & Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The content in your listings
- The accuracy and legality of the information you submit
- Ensuring you have all rights, licenses, and permissions for any content you upload
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Photos, videos, text, and descriptions
- Trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets
- Written permissions from individuals or companies featured in your listings
List in Hive may remove or flag any content that violates these Terms.
Prohibited Content
You may not post:
- Unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, or misleading content
- Content promoting illegal goods, services, or activities
- Stolen, fake, pirated, or dangerous products
- Viruses, malware, or harmful components
- Content infringing the rights of others
Prohibited Business Practices
Users agree not to engage in any of the following practices on List in Hive:
- Posting fake or inaccurate business listings
- Submitting misleading, deceptive, or scam job offers
- Posting spam, mass-duplicate, or repeatedly recycled listings
- Listing on behalf of third parties without their authorization
- Offering fraudulent, illegal, or non-existent services
List in Hive reserves the right to remove any content that violates these rules and may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited activity.
License to Use User Content
By posting content, you grant List in Hive a non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, and promote your listing.
5. Platform Use Rules
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the platform
- Collect information about other users without consent
- Harass, impersonate, or mislead others
- Discuss actions of moderators publicly (communication should occur through support channels)
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
You may use information from other users only to conduct a legitimate transaction with them, not for marketing, spam, or data harvesting.
Users are encouraged to report violations promptly.
6. Moderation Process
All listings undergo human moderation before becoming visible.
6.1. During Moderation
- The listing remains hidden.
- The subscription is frozen (billing does not proceed).
- Stripe will not charge the card until the listing is approved.
6.2. Approved
- Listing becomes active and visible.
- Subscription resumes normal billing cycles.
6.3. Declined
- Listing is rejected.
- Subscription remains frozen.
- No further payments are attempted.
- User may edit and resubmit the listing, or delete it.
6.4. Not Paid
- This occurs when a listing was previously active but payment fails.
- The listing becomes invisible.
- The user receives reminders.
- The user can retry payment, update the card, or delete the listing.
7. Subscriptions & Billing
7.1. Subscription Plans
List in Hive offers paid subscription plans that make listings visible after moderation.
Available plans include:
- General Plan for Real Estate, Vehicles, Services
- Business & Jobs Plan for Business for Sale and Job-related listings
Each subscription:
- Applies to a specific listing
- Has a fixed duration (1, 3, or 6 months)
- Is required for visibility
7.2. Badges
Users may purchase optional badges such as:
- Hot Offer
- Urgent Sale
- Top Rated
- Other promotional labels
Badges can be bought:
- Together with the listing subscription
- Separately for an already active listing
Badge Billing Rules:
- Purchased with subscription → same renewal date
- Purchased separately → separate billing cycle
- Users may change badge design at any time (free)
Stopping Badge Subscription:
- If purchased separately → can stop anytime
- If purchased with listing → can only cancel together with the listing subscription
7.3. Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- We do not store any card or payment information.
- After successful payment, the listing is activated (after passing moderation).
- Failed payments move the listing to Not Paid status.
7.4. Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled.
Users may cancel auto-renewal at any time in their dashboard.
7.5. Upgrades
- You may upgrade your plan or add badges anytime.
- Stripe prorates the remaining value of your current plan.
7.6. Coupons & Discounts
Admins may provide:
- One-time discounts
- Permanent discounts
Rules:
- Only one discount applies per payment.
- If a user has both, the higher discount applies.
- One-time coupons are removed after use.
7.7. Payment Failures
- If Stripe cannot charge your card, the listing moves to Not Paid.
- Daily in-app and weekly email reminders are sent.
- The listing remains hidden until payment is resolved.
7.8. Changes to Pricing and Services
List in Hive reserves the right to modify, update, or change any pricing, subscription fees, or platform features at any time. If changes occur, we will provide notice through the platform or via email before the new pricing or features take effect. Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds are only provided if:
- The listing was declined by an admin,
- And the user deletes the listing,
- And the listing was never active.
No refunds are provided for:
- Active listings
- Not Paid listings
- Manually deleted listings
- Badge purchases
- Partial subscription periods
9. Deleting Listings
Users can delete listings in:
- Active
- Declined
- Not Paid
Users cannot delete listings in Moderation.
When a listing is deleted:
- Its subscription is canceled.
- No refund is issued.
- Any attached badge subscription is canceled automatically.
10. Banner Ads
List in Hive offers separate paid opportunities for placing banner advertisements on different pages or placements.
- Banner ads are not linked to listing subscriptions.
- Pricing depends on placement and duration.
- Billing for banners is handled separately.
- No refunds for banner advertising unless required by law.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on List in Hive, including branding, design, text, graphics, and software, is protected by intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, publication, storage, or commercial exploitation is strictly prohibited.
12. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, accuracy, or safety. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
13. Disclaimers
You use List in Hive at your own risk. We do not:
- Guarantee accuracy of listings
- Verify identity of users
- Guarantee quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of goods or services
- Perform background checks
- Participate in or enforce transactions
We are not liable for:
- Any damages resulting from use of the Service
- Content posted by users
- Data loss, technical issues, or service interruptions
- Viruses or harmful code in files you download
Users are responsible for conducting their own checks and due diligence before engaging in any transaction.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, List in Hive and its team shall not be liable for:
- Losses resulting from transactions between users
- Loss of data, profits, or business
- Errors or inaccuracies in content
- Damages arising from unauthorized access
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold List in Hive harmless from claims arising out of your content or actions.
15. Privacy Policy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, use, and disclose personal information.
16. Additional Terms
Certain features or services may have additional terms. All such terms are incorporated into these Terms.
17. No Support Obligation
While we aim to provide a smooth experience, we are under no obligation to offer customer support. Any support provided is voluntary and subject to our policies.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful activities. You may stop using the Service at any time.
